I couldn't find a webmaster address to mail this to, so: here are some small things that I've noticed on the web site lately that I think could be improved:
- the pictures on the main page take quite a while to load, even with a good connection. This is because a lot of them are much bigger than they need to be--many of them are multi-megapixel images and don't really need to be. (The jpeg for the Camp Perry shot, for instance, is 3456x2304 pixels and several megabytes to download, but the page marks it to be scaled down to 600x400. Scaling down the image on the server would be a lot faster.)
- the "High-Power Matches" link on the left opens the Reading R&R web page. Fine for EMRL, but I was also expecting to see the MRA high power schedule around someplace.
- I don't think the Sunday air pistol matches are a going concern right now; might want to edit that. (Then again, maybe people will read that and show up and we can get it going again!)
If whoever deals with this isn't sure of how to deal with the technical side of rescaling the pictures, I'd be more than happy to rescale them and hand you a new set of jpgs if that would help.
Thanks, whoever you are. The site has generally been really up-to-date lately on the "announcements" tab--very useful.
PS: the Eblast mail is great and timely, too. Thanks also to whoever's been keeping up with that.

Our webmaster (webmistress?) is Maureen and there is a comment box in the office. I'll drop off a copy of your suggestions.
The gentleman who has been overseeing the e-balsts is Bobby Robinson (one of the directors) and I will pass on you well wishes.
