I just wanted to get some input from members of the MRA regarding the publishing of the MRA BOD meeting minutes either on this forum or the main MRA website. Many of us lead very busy lives and cannot attend MRA BOD meetings, but would like to be kept informed as to what the elected leadership of the MRA is doing to keep the club moving forward.
Other area clubs have already started this practice, so i am told.
Input from the membership is greatly appreciated.

I think it is a good idea. I try to make the BOD meetings but have commitments that make it difficult. The minutes could be posted either on the web or outside the office in the club house.
Thanks

Massman,
Excellent idea.
Harvard Sportsmans club also does this on their Forum for their members - it's great for members to keep up to date with what's going on.

If I could make it I was hoping to propose exactly that at the February BoD meeting, so, "yes, please!"

This will be put on the agenda for the March BOD meeting. I would encourage any and all members that have input on this issue to attend the meeting if possible.

Yes, this would be a great thing to do for those of us who are still at work when the BOD meetings take place.

Rich,
Any update on getting the minutes posted or sent via an e-blast??

I think posting the Board meetings would be benificial to all members.

Please keep us posted.

Thanks!

The MRA BOD voted last night to have the BOD meeting minutes available in a binder located in the main lounge area (most likely near the sign in sheet) for members. Also, MRA members can request the meeting minutes from the club secretary at any time, per club bylaws. While the meeting minutes will not be posted electronically, hopefully this is a good compromise for everyone.

That's disappointing for the members who cannot be at the club during office hours.

Rich any chance you could propose that the latest minutes be posted somewhere in the club for all to view?
There's a few spots in the club that could work like at the window where the fun shoot results are now posted - or in the Loeb Observation Room in the display case that has the action shooting schedule - or???

Just my 2cents...

Wow - looks like I started typing before I finished reading - for some reason I was thinking these would be placed with all the other binders behind the office counter.

I am still disappointed these won't be available electronically - But this a step in the right direction.

Stef - thanks for setting me straight...
